THE TEXT

Fabien and Claire are 15 years old. They are in love and that's it. They did it! It was two weeks ago and since then Claire has been thinking about it all the time. This memory gives her butterflies in her brain. But today, it is worry that takes over. Deep down, Claire feels it, a process has started, there, in her body, she knows it and will have to make a decision. Through her story and an immersive sound system, we accompany Claire on these few days where everything is at stake - or rather, unravels. Her doubts, sensations, anger, her internal pulsations...
A sensitive and powerful text about love for teenagers.

The show received the MOMIX festival prize. The text received the prize for Contemporary Theatre Play for Young Audiences organized by the Saison Gatti, the DSDEN du Var and the DAAC of Nice.

Written for teenagers, the language is close to a testimony: a first-person narrative that allows the subject of abortion and entering into sexuality to be approached directly and with sincerity.
The subject is intimate and yet universal.
As a teenager, I had very little access to this type of speech, to this simple and responsible way of talking about love, sexuality, choice, bodily freedom and I think I would have liked to benefit from it and it is one of the reasons why I wanted to stage this text.

This first itinerant form offers a close relationship with the spectators. Inside the high school itself, in the classroom, without sets and in daylight.

To increase this intimacy ratio, we designed a lightweight, immersive sound device with headphones that allows teens to dive inside Claire's thoughts and physical sensations.
Juliette Allain plays Claire and dialogues with the voices that pass through her, that sometimes devour her (her boyfriend, her mother, the gynecologist...). A choice of life, a choice for her body.
Mainly based on the actress and her acting, I want to seek a sensitive alternation between direct language and theatricality through this sound decor.

Discussion with the teenagers after the performance.

We propose a meeting with the teenagers based on their feelings about the show.
It is not a question of replacing the work of a school nurse, a mother, a father, a doctor, but rather of carefully preserving the distance of the theatre which sometimes allows us to question reality and engage in dialogue.
